We are all tired of those ridiculous mails that come our way, touting some wonderful
offer. Or with questionable bits of news that make us go "Huh."
Well here's a very simple way to find out if anything you recieve this way from friends, family etc,
is fact or fiction.
Just take a sentence from the mail.
Preferably one that stands out..
Take this one for example
To all of my friends, I do not usually forward messages,
But this is from my friend Pearlas Sandborn and she really is
an attorney.
If she says that this will work - It will work. After all, what have
you got to lose?
SORRY EVERYBODY.. JUST HAD TO TAKE THE CHANCE!!! I'm an
attorney, And I know the law. This thing is for real. Rest assured
AOL and Intel will follow through with their promises for
fear of facing a multimillion-dollar class action suit similar to the
onefiled by PepsiCo against General Electric not too long ago.
I took the highlighted bit, googled it & this page was on the top of the google search
http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/blintelaol.htm
You can then send the offending friend or family member the link
in a polite fashion.
This hopefully will wake them up to the simple netiquette, of not sending sh*t.
